PF 2012
(December 2011)

The end of the year is here and we would like to wish our fans the following:

- really good health
- strength to fulfill all of your resolutions and plans
- good luck in everything you do
- lots of great music (especially country music)
- sea of love
- a good job (or at least any job)
- and also some money (a million should be enough)

We look forward to seeing you at some of your shows in 2012. You will see a brand new line-up and a brand new repertoire, too. Once again, all the best in 2012 to all our fans and friends and all country music fans as well.

Concert In Koberovy 2011
(December 2011)

The end of 2011 is coming and our band has decided to try a very unusual experiment. Next year we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary and since we are still unable to confirm a specific date of the special event (initially it was planned for April but we got booked for a long exotic tour which wasn't possible to turn down) and thus we may be forced to reschedule the concert to the fall of 2012, we decided to hold a special rehearsal show before 2011 ends. Our Pre-New Year's Eve show in Koberovy near Zelezny Brod, Czech Republic on 29th December was a perfect fit. The program that we're planning will be very varied and unusual.

You will see both the old and new line-ups, past and upcoming band members will take turns on one stage and the audience will be the jury. You can look forward to interesting guests, gifts, farewell & welcome and, of course, lots of fun which just belongs to our show. I think the fans will be very really satisfied and they will look forward to the 2012 anniversary concert even more.

If the international fans also want to participate, we would like to invite them to the pension Ayky in Jablonec nad Nisou, where we're going to meet those who didn't come to the fan club reunion in the summer. All our Czech fans are also invited, of course. Accommodation at Ayky is available even for the New Year's Even, you only need to make your reservation in time. The get-togother will take place either the day before the concert (28th December) or the day after (30th December).

We're looking forward to seeing you! Sonia, Klara, Alena, Alice, Andrea, Marketa, Linda, Andrea II, Wendy and many other guests at the KD KOBEROVY near Zelezny Brod, Czech Republic on Thursday 29th December, 2011 at 8 pm.

Country Sisters 2012
(November 2011)

We've been very fortunate to have great players and singers in the band, both old and new. Andrea, who left in July, and Lucy, who left in September, were both great professionals, as well as Linda, who is leaving at the end of this year. As usual when there's a change in the band, we're both sad and happy. We're sad to say goodbye and miss the girls we played with in some many places and traveled with thousands of kilometers. We're happy to introduce the new girls and we look forward to brand new experiences and fun. We already introduced Alice, a new guitar player, and this weekend it was the very first show with Andy, our new keyboard player. At some shows during our Christmas tour you may see Marketa, a new fiddle player, who is learning from Linda and can't wait to fully join the band in January. Come see us and say goodbye to Linda, we're going to have a lot of fun before she finally leaves! In January we're going to practise very hard to start the 2012 season with another perfect line-up and new songs. See you on the road!

LINE-UP FOR 2012

New Band Members
(September 2011)

Of course, departures of band members are always associated with introducing new ones. Those are the nice moments. The fans can be sure they won't be disappointed. They can look forward to new faces, fresh blood, new songs and a lot of new experiences. That's life and primarily it's very natural in all-female bands. Girls don't remain girls forever (well, apart from Sonia, she does....). But the other girls can easily fix the low average age in the band, especially the new fiddle player who is barely 15, but can play as she was twice as older. We also got a new keyboards player who is AWESOME. We are going to test the new girls during the autumn, they will practise very hard and next year we will introduce the brand new line-up of the Country Sisters. In the winter we will relax, recharge our batteries, practise will the new girls, practise new songs and will get ready for the great celebrations in 2012. At the point we hope the celebration won't be spoiled by any senseless demands or law suits. We are very much looking forward to you in the next season!

Leaving, leaving...
(September 2011)

Unfortunately we have some news that won't make fans happy and that's a departure of one of our long-time members. In September guitar player Lucy left the band after 9 years. Recently she got married and moved to Denmark and couldn't manage getting to our concerts from such a long distance. She is a very talented girl and we are sure she will play with some other band one day and will make music somewhere else or maybe even a little different type of music. We wish her good luck and hope she will stay in touch with us as many of our ex-members.

Fanclubs Reunion
(September 2011)

We need to thank all our fans for a wonderful weekend 27.-28. August 2001. We were looking forward to our fans very much as we hadn't seen many of them for a long time. We weren't disappointed, all of the fans came in and we even fit in Sonia's garden. There was over 50 of us and Sonia knew why she had undergone a huge garden reconstruction (we think she will rent a football stadium for the next year). Even the weather was nice, even though after we moved to the Vysoka farm, it started raining and the concert had to be transfered under the roof. Satisfaction came the next day – the weather was beautiful and everyone was happy. Even the concert was special. We played the entire show with 7 members. Wendy played with us after a couple of years of a motherhood break and we found out she didn't forget a thing. We want to thank her not only for the concert but for the whole event that she helped organize. See you next year!!!

Praise The Summer
(September 2011)

The summer has unfortunately passed but we can nothing but praise it. The weather wasn't the best, though, but we managed to perform all the gigs without any problems, although it seemed we wouldn't have at the beginning of the summer. We've got to admit we weren't sure whether we would arrive anywhere in time, because our old car decided it was its time to retire. We we forced to use our charm, contact the mercedes company and get a brand new Sprinter. We tested the new car very hard as we went 3,000 km during its very first trip. What a poor little car... During the same time there was an exchange in our line-up and we had a great number of concerts in various parts of Europe. Honestly it is quite unusual for us to travel 5,000 km in a week and play 5 shows, it was pretty tough. We may even start our own Guiness' World Record Book. To sum it up: a band member exchange in the middle of the season, a car exchange in the middle of the season, 5x more shows than usual and thousands kilomeneter more than usual....that's a deadly combination! But everything went eventually OK, so we can say that the summer worked out very well.

Annual Fanclub Party in Sonia's Garden
(August 2011)

The annual fanclub get-together will take place in Sonia's garden in Jablonec nad Nisou on Saturday 27th August at 2 pm. All fans are invited! Then the Country Sisters and the fans will transfer to the Vysoka farm for a country festival. Due to an enormous demand a second show has been added, so the Country Sisters will be playing both nights!

Fan Appreciation At The Vysoka Farm
(July 2011)

Our annual get together with our fanclub members and other fans will take place at the Vysoka Farm in Chrastava, Czech Rep. on 27-28th August. We invite all our fanclub members (both current and future). The get together will be a part of Wendy’s Country Festival. We will post more info in the beginning of August. Hope to see you all at the Vysoka Farm!

New Band Member
(July 2011)

We introduced our new band member Alena in Interlaken. We let her play 3 songs during an outdoor show in front of several hundred people and she did a very good job. It is obvious she is used to playing for many people, there was no stage fright and her beautiful voice surely earned her the first Country Sisters fans. Her success made us sure our choice was great.

Alena’s first official show will take place in a private show in České Budejovice on 15th July and then in Greaten, Austria on 16th July. We’ll keep our fingers crossed, so everything works out fine. We are sure a lot of fans will share their impressions with us in our guestbook.

Farewell
(July 2011)

Andrea is playing her very last show on 9th July. We are very sad about it, but there’s nothing we can do. Hopefully she’ll enjoy her final concert without tears (and so will we). We hope to get to play with her again in the future… unless she gets eaten by a lion in Africa. :-)))

Summer Festivals
(July 2011)

A couple of days ago summer weather caught us ready and eager to beautiful summer fests. The first few festivals went really great. We’ve been to Sweden for the very first time and hope to get there back soon. A beautiful western-style village surprised us by its vast area, just the weather wasn’t very nice. We hope the weather will be better next time we get there (or is it usual to be that cold in the North in the summer?).

Our favorite festival in Interlaken followed and it was SUPER as usual. Great shows, great audiences, great place and great weather. The Trucker Festival is wonderful every year and this time we also enjoyed the concerts of Lorrie Morgan, Carlene Carter, Raul Malo and Heidi Newfield. Since we were opening Friday’s big night and closing Saturday’s big night, we had plenty of time to really enjoy the concerts of our peers. The outdoor shows were also really wonderful in a different way. A close touch with the fans was very pleasant and irreplaceable (check out pictures HERE).

The next festival we played was the Country Piknik in Poland. We went there for the first time and also hope to get there again in the future. It seemed that the Country Sisters caught the attention of the Polish country music fans, too, and that’s good. As we know country music is very popular in Poland and we look forward to coming back.

The Change
(June 2011)

Two unpleasant news came right with New Year and therefore the following information won’t make some of our fans happy. Nothing lasts forever and personal changes in the band are very common. Andrea is going to leave the band very soon as she decided to trade European stages for African wildlife and help her sister Veronika build a school for African orphans. We wish her the best of luck! Consequently, of course, we had to find a new band member. After a very long search we reached a decision that we finally found the right one. A new girl in the band will be introduced in July. We are looking forward to the reactions of our fans and we are sure she is going to win their hearts right away. Keep your fingers crossed for us, so everything about the line up change in the midde of the touring season works out smoothly.

Czech Concerts
(June 2011)

It’s starting to feel like a tradition that we play the very same places in the Czech Republic year after year. We are used to this abroad – we have played at some of the festivals 10x and some of the venues have welcomed us even 15x (well, to be honest, Sonia has played there so many times) a we still come back upon requests of our fans. The Saloon Bazina in Frantiskovy Lazne belongs to this list as well, where we have been lucky to entertain the audience and meet with our fans (and especially the members of our Czech-Slovak Fanclub) several years in a row. Next year we are getting back with a special show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band.

Return To Scandinavia
(June 2011)

This year we will tour Norway again and we will also play in Sweden for the very first time. The concert takes place is a western city of High Chaparral on 17th June, 2011. The Swedish gig extends the number of the countries we have played in to 30! At this point we are not going to comment on the gigs which are still being negotiated, but all we ca say is that we’ll also get to play at some exotic destinations, too.

Reunion With The Fans
(June 2011)

We're also working on an annual get-together with fans and friends in Jablonec. Last year the event took place at Wendy’s farm in Chrastava, Sonia’s garden and Pension Ayky in Jablonec the first weekend in October. Our fans met with us in all these locations and promised to meet with us again. Since the weather wasn’t very satisfying last time, we are planning a little different event this year. We’ll let you know when the plan progress.

Wishers And Plans For 2011
(January 2011)

What do we wish in the new year? Well, of course the same as everybody else! We wish good luck, good health and also lots of love, lots of great music as well as lots of wonderful concerts with our band to all our fans. The Country Sisters will be trying to keep on delivering great shows with our own blood and sweat. And what’s the plan for the next year?? To keep on playing!! We hope to keep on playing with this line-up as long as possible and if whatever happens, we hope to find amazing new band members and when we don’t find them, we hope the "old" members will stay. We plan to stay together for a long time, because we have big plans for 2012, when the band will celebrate the incredible 40th anniversary!! We are planning really really REALLY big show to celebrate it! We’re not going to reveal anything for now, but you’ll learn details about this upcoming project later. As the preparations will involve a lot of time and effort, the key organizer, Sonia, will appreciate any help with organizing, collecting data about the band’s rich history, press releases and lots of other interesting stuff about the today’s band as well as the historic aboud Jizerska Protez. We all have something to look forward to!

Svijany Beer Fest
(January 2011)

Unexpectedly, in the middle of the summer, we were invited to play at the Svijany Beer Fest. We agreed, because not only were we available, but it was also a challenge to try to attract the Czech audience at an event like this. In spite of worries about the bad weather (the sound system wasn’t covered and our wireless microphones wouldn’t survive heavy rain), the organizers ensured us it wasn’t going to rain. We went for it, but we shouldn’t have. After a short rehersal it was obvious it was going to rain, which started right after the third song and we had to immediately wrap it up. The audience was screaming and trying to make us go on, which unfortunately wasn’t possible without the sound system. We tried to sing without speakers for a while, but the weather was really bad and we weren’t able to finish the concert to a big disappointment of the audience. We hope to get back to Svijany in 2011 and deliver a full show without rain and have a lots of fun which a beer fest deserves.

Country Sisters in the Czech Republic in 2010
(January 2011)

Surprisingly, even though we are absolutely an unknown band in the Czech Republic, we still can attract attention of all audiences and wherever we come, the fans don’t let us leave unless we promise we will come back. In 2010 we played more gigs in the Czech Republic than in the previous year and we hope there will be even more in 2011. Especially concerts in Hříběci, Rataje, Bažina, Vysoká a Líšný, where we had as much fun as we always have, and we hope to see all our fans in the same places next year again. So, concert promoters and organizers alike, don’t be ashamed and book the Country Sisters, you’re not gonna regret!

Northern Country Delight
(January 2011)

This year we finally made to Norway, where were looking forward to getting for years. Eventually we were able to make 3 trips within a month over there! We had always only heard of the beautiful countryside in Norway until we flew to Narvik, where one of the biggest country festivals was taking place to our surprise. Not only was it the biggest festival for the number of spectators, but there was also the largest camp grounds and facilities. Playing behind the Polar Circle as well as the countryside and little towns reminded us our gigs in Greenland a few years ago. It’s true we didn’t get to see any polar bear, just an elk, but we look forward to spotting a polar bear next time. Two weeks after the first shows we made a detour from our Danish tour and went back to Norway, this time to Grimstad in the southern part of Norway and after two more weeks we flew back again and even further than for the first time, because the Alta Country Festival was taking place even further in the north. We made a little trip around beautiful lakes (even with a little swimming in the freezing water, which was a wonderful experience). When we got finally home, we admitted that the triple Norwegian tour was one of the most enjoyable trips of 2010.

A New Album Is Finally Here!!!
(March 2010)

Our new CD is finally here! We were already hopeless about it and almost gave up, but our producer eventually woke up and the album, which had been recorded for more than a year, was released after all. We feel very positive about the product - the packing is really beautiful and we hope that the content will be rated by the fans. We are sure that if our fans like the new album, they will let us know about it at our website. The release party of the HOT RIDE album was held at the Albisguetli festival in Zurich on 19th February. Getting Together with the Czech Fan Club
(March 2010)

We are also looking forward to Easter in Bazina and the Casino in Ceska Kubice. At the country saloon Bazina in Frantiskovy Lazne we annually get together with our Czech fan club. We have a few drinks, celebrate Easter, have some chit-chat and play a show. We’re glad to have you, our Czech fan club! Many thanks to Jitka Wernerova! And at the Casino in Ceska Kubice nobody seems to care about not winning all the time and after these desperate folks listen to the Country Sisters show, they stop thinking about suicide… :-))

Getting Ready For Denmark
(March 2010)

We’re getting ready for the Country Night in Denmark, which has been annualy held in March and our band has never missed it. Our Danish fans are amazing and we are looking forward to seeing them again. There‘s always great atmosphere and the getting-together starts our tour season.

Happy News
(March 2010)

We were surprised by several happy events – shortly before 2009 ended, our former member Susan had twins – boys, who were born in Canada. We congratulate her on such a wonderful delivery and wish the boys to be healthy and beautiful as their Mom. It’s true, however, that she could have pleased us with at least one girl, who would sing as greatly as her Mom and our band would have had bright future. Next time, Susan! Another great news arrived in January, when Wendy pleased us with her delivery – just one for now – a boy named Jakub, but she promised to get us a girl in our band next time. Wendy, congratulations and please try harder next time! We really need new girls in our band, so that Sonia can finally retire :-)))

News 2009 (includes 18 press releases)

Beautiful Gatherings
(December 2009)

We managed to visit some of our fans in their homes, of course upon their invitation. We already know some homes of our Danish friends pretty well. Every year we get invited to a garden birthday party at Doris‘, we have an annual grill party at Klaus‘, in Switzerland we visited homes of our friends Gusti, Francizsca and Martin, and this time even our French fanclub surprised us with an invitation. Isabela prepared a wonderful getting together at her place, and Patrick and Ghislaine invited us to stay overnight in their beautiful house in incredibly beautiful mountains. Both unforgettable. Many thanks!

Music News
(December 2009)

A couple of months ago we promised to add some new musical instruments and he it goes – Andrea got new portable keyboards, so she can jump around while playing, Klara got a sax, which she is going show off soon, Lucka is practising banjo, which she already performed with and surely she is going to play it more often in the future. We also learned a few new songs and we are working on some more, which you will see and hear live very soon. We look forward to it!

Holiday with the Country Sisters
(December 2009)

This past summer after long discussions we finally decided to take some time off and go on holiday in the middle of the touring season, which is normally almost impossible. We usually go on holiday in January and November. For those who don’t ski it’s a real nightmare to find a few free days to spend with their family in summer. This year we managed to find a few days between two gigs in July and spend some time by the sea in France. It was amazing and we didn’t even get too much sunburn – just our sound engineer Pepa got even a little darker and the rest of us enjoyed the sea and the sun(we added some photos in the no comment gallery) and got fresh energy for the next year. How about inviting some fans to our holiday next year? Or maybe some fans can invite us to go with them?? Maybe on a cruise in the Carribean... two, three will do... :o))

Getting Together with the Fans at the Vysoka Farm in September
(December 2009)

A couple of months ago we agreed on an idea to add getting togethers with friends and fans as an annual event in our calendar. The latest event at the Vysoa Farm in September was extremely successful and we welcomed many fans from all parts of the Czech Republic as well as our dear fans from other European countries. We had fun, a lot of great music, food and drinks, and we even had to work when moving the statue of the Country Sisters to Sonia’s garden for everybody to look at. I think, Wendy, you can count with lots of fun with the Country Sisters and country music at he farm in future years.

Pre-New Year's Party in Lisny
(November 2009)

We invite all fans to our pre-New Year's party in Lisny (close to Jablonec nad Nisou) on 29th December. If you come up in costumes, you can win our DVD. Don't worry, we promise you won't look like fools alone as we will prepare special costumes as well ;)

All Fanclub Getting Together at the Farm Vysoka
(September 2009)

We invite all our fans to a special meeting at the Vysoka Farm in Chrastava on 26th September, 2009. Come on in and have a great time with country music and the fanclub members from all around Europe. Of course, you can look forward to the members of the Country Sisters and their friends. We can't wait to meet you again, this time not on the stage, but around a table... Your Country Sisters.

A New Band Member
(August 2009)

Summer time is here again and we owe our fans a lot of information from the background of the band. Somebody calls it gossip, somebody calls it hot news, it’s up to you to choose - everything is true :-) We started the beginning of the year with a new band member, as it happened several times in the few past years already. Our new member, Andrea, is no beginner after all. She played in a couple of bands before, she won a few talent shows and in the last TV show, the X-Factor, she made it to a semifinal, where we spotted her and got her to the Country Sisters. She has been singing and playing keyboards with us for the first year and she already fit in the band very well. Not only with her personality, but also with her singing. Our band got an exceptionally beautiful vocal.

Country Babies
(August 2009)

Simultaneously with the arrival of a new member another one left. But leaving from our band is usually a happy event and that was the case of Wendy, who told us some exciting news and we all look forward to a brand new singer that she is going to raise for us. To make things even better, we got the very same happy news from faraway Canada from our former member Susan, who is also expecting and she’s going to have twins! Now we should pray not to the same thing happen to some of us in the middle of the tour season!

News In The Band
(August 2009)

In March everything was in the running with Andrea – a beautiful tour in Denmark – the Country Night, which already became an annual tradition. Since we would like to prepare something new in our show for the fans more often, we decided to add a few more musical instruments. This year we’re going to play with three more instruments, but we’re not going to reveal which ones and who’s going to play them so far. We can only say that some of the member are practising very hard (wait a minute, just some of them?!). We have prepared new promo materials, photos and posters, but we are still unsuccessful with releasing of our new CD. Too many problems occured at the same time and unfortunately blocked the release. The album is already finished, it’s just about to be put out. We hope to be able to release it soon. On this occasion we would like to thank to the Harley Davidson club in Jablonec nad Nisou, which provided us with bikes for the photo shoot. It was gorgeous, especially the final ride!

Summer Tour
(August 2009)

In June we played at the Trucker Festival in Interlaken again. It’s hard to describe to those who don’t know this festival. Beautiful surroundings, the right atmosphere, overcrowded main tent, thousands of bikes, people, trucks and the weather – just beautiful!!! We played four unforgettable shows there.

A Visit to France
(February 2009)

On 18th October, right after the concert in Spreitenbach we were invited by our French fanclub to spend an evening with them in a fine club near Basel. Our amazing fans pleased us a lot that beautiful night, we had a great time and we thank them so much. We wouldn’t mind if these get-togethers became a tradition at all! We can’t wait to invite them in Jablonec next time.

A New DVD
(February 2009)

Our new DVD, which was taped live at the 35th anniversary show in Jablonec nad Nisou, is finally out! We tried to capture the atmosphere as much as we could, but the show was so icredibly long that hardly a half of it fit on the disc. Anyway we hope the new DVD will please many fans in a great way. A live show is just a live show and when you play for 4 hours under a lot of pressure, not everything works just fine. Therefore we added a special music video as a bonus for you to see how vocals recorded in a studio sound. So, dear fans, please buy our latest DVD and stay tuned for the upcoming CD, which has been completed and wil be released soon.

September Gigs
(February 2009)

The September shows were also marvelous, especially those two in the Czech Republic: Most and As. We got surprised by the fans at both shows and some of them even arrived from France to see us in As. We want to thank them and in particular Isabelle, who is so great!!! Additionally we thank Jitka, who maintains the Czech fanclub website, she resides in As and she is also so great!!! Just about everybody from As makes up an incredible audience even though they we were all freezing (just as we were), they stayed and were awesome. In September we were in Scotland, which surprised us with terrible cold. We were freezing in our apartments, on stage, backstage, on the roud, on the ferry… just about everywhere and this afwul weather also proved to have an effect on our singers who got pretty cold. Next tour in Scotland in summer only! And we also must‘t forget to exchange Scottish pounds for British pounds!

The 2000th Show
(February 2009)

We have got to brag about something: in Randers our band celebrated another expected milestone – the 2000th show!!! We celebrated this special concert quite an unusual way – we dressed in somewhat peculiar costumes, which seemed to be very amusing for the fans, because when they showed up the other day again, they were apparently looking forward to our special costumes.

August Gigs
(February 2009)

Another surprise came in August – our tour in Denmark failed a little. We had been used to performing some 10 shows over there but this time the tour was shortened to just 3 concerts. We were really sorry and we hope our new agency will do better next time. However, our fans in Randers recompensed our disappointment when they provided us with a totally packed audience and amazing atmosphere for both shows.

July Gigs
(February 2009)

There were two surprises ahead of us in July. A beautiful show in Slovakia – thank you for wonderful letters. We received a gorgious present to our 35th anniversary. A Jablonec-based painter and sculptor, Jiri Massa Bim, sculpted a lifesize statue of the Country Sisters. Two band members have been immortalized this way and we want to thank for this precious gift. In July our Swiss fanclub invited us all to a special grill party in the mountains, where we wouldn’t dare get by ourselves. We spent a great evening with our fans and it was an unforgettable moment for us, thank you for inviting us!

Weddings in the Band
(February 2009)

As we already indicated in April, we celebrated two weddings in the band. It was quite an interesting experience for us. It was the first wedding for the involved brides and bridegrooms and they hope it was the last one, too. A few photos will portray the wedding atmosphere for you.

Website update
(February 2009)

Our new website is almost ready even though it has taken a lot more time than we had thought, but we hope the delay was worthy. We have been trying as hard as we could to show our listeners more about our belowed work and would love them to enjoy the website. We added a special counter that enables us to see where our visitors come from and we found that some of them are from quite exotic countries. The latest check showed that most visitors come from Denmark (thanks fans, you rock!!!), the Czech Republic, Switzerland and another 22 countries such as Mexico, Trinidad, South Korea and Argentina. It would be cool if all the visitors posted a message. We would be more than happy to respond.

Eurocentrum 26.4.2008 - 35th Anniversary Concert
(July 2008)

It's all over! We all breathed a sigh of relief, we all made it, the show was carried out, even though the day before nothing was sure at all. More than 4-hour marathon was successfully closed with cancan and the procession of all performers ended before midnight. Plenty of helping fans finally breathed a sigh of relief, too. The organisers could get a shot to celebrate the fact, that there was no fire, just one power cut, nobody got hurt and no car was stolen. That's it. We all believe that the concert came off well. We've got a lot of responses, a lot of approvals, we are very pleased and want to say we had a very good feeling during the whole show. Stage fright (which is so typical in a home town) disappeared right after the first applause. And when we were wished another successful 35 years, we didn't feel any exhaustion any longer. We are very grateful and looking forward to the next 35 years (especially some of us). In conclusion we want to thank all the people who wished us good luck and held out to the end of the concert that long, our guests who didn't hesitate to come over here from abroad, all the performers who livened up our long programme and last but not least all the people from the Eurocentrum who were wonderful and helpful. We are going to praise your names everywhere we go. We admit that if there was a chance, we would love to hold another beautiful concert in Jablonec sometime in the future. Now feel free to view some beautiful pics from the Eurocentrum that we received from our fans.

Wedding in the Band
(April 2008)

This year we are going to celebrate a wedding in our band. We aren't going to reveal who the lucky one is at this time, but you will find out soon. We are going to attend another wedding of our former member and play in another significant one. That takes three weddings a year, quite common thing in female bands' (it's different with guys, they usually brag about their divorces). We all believe that weddings will bring us good luck in the next season.

New Fan Clubs
(April 2008)

Two new fan clubs were founded in April 2008 - the Czech Fan Club and the French Fan Club. We are looking forward to seeing them informing our fans in their native language. We are sure they will have plenty of exciting information and some funny information, too.

Brand new web pages
(March 2008)

Dear fans, we have prepared a brand new website and we hope you to enjoy it. Please let us know!

Anniversary celebration
(March 2008)

Another year passed very fast and there is 2008 ahead, which is very special to us. This year we are celebrating the 35th anniversary of our band. The original band "Jizerska protez" was formed in Jablonec nad Nisou 35 years ago and after adopting the new name "Country Sisters" in 1986 has been active until now. To celebrate this anniversary, a very special concert will be held in the Eurocentrum in Jablonec nad Nisou on 26th April, 2008. To learn more about this event see the enclosed invitation. See invitation

New CD
(March 2008)

Another news is recording a new CD, which began in February 2008 and we believe we will be able to complete it in May. It will be the very first album for our two new members Klara and Alena and we can't wait to hear the final results of our work. We are still looking for a catchy title and we welcome all ideas from our fans.

(March 2008)

Unfortunately, there is a bad news from the end of the last year. Our manager for Denmark and Scandinavia, Calle, passed away. We worked with him almost 15 years and it was a very successful co-operation. Calle was a beautiful person and we already miss him very bad. Of course, we continue working with his agency.

Travel plans
(March 2008)

And what are our travel plans for this year? There is a couple of big tours again: Scottland, Norway, Denmark, Greenland, Japan (wish us good luck!) and some other tours, which you will learn about later. Our current priority is completing the new album and organizing the anniversary show in Jablonec.

Long time since we updated all our happenings. So here we go.

Two new ladies came to the band this year. It was very smooth. Both girls, Clare and Alena have quikly acclimated and learnt all our repertoire. Our fanclub members took them in very well. I guess they are GOOD :)!!!

Concert in mansion Kneznice
(October 2007)

Soon after Canada tour, we were invited to a beautiful mansion called Kneznice in Petrovice, in Czech Republic, from our Danish friend and Czech consul. Both fanclubs, Danish and Swiss arrived as well. We truly enjoyed such a lovely company in such a lovely place. We played for the nearest town Petrovice the following day and hope to come back some day.

Our Danish August Tour was very pleasant. We had many beautiful concerts, wonderful people as always, and our fanclub? Extraordinary as always!!! We thank all of you.

Garden party
(October 2007)

Our Danish fanclub invited us in August 2007 to a garden party to Doris a Henning Nielsen house. Entire fanclub was there and we truly enjoyed. Once again, we would like to give you our truest THANK YOU VERY MUCH, IT WAS WONDERFUL!

Thank you Mogens
(October 2007)

BIG THANKS to Mogens who takes such a good care of us whenever we come to Denmark.

And now something quaint from our private lives:
(October 2007)

WENDY successfully passed her horse jump show riding license. She took 2nd place in her category right on her first competition!!!!! LINDA passed her driving license and now she drives. LOOK-OUT!!! ALENA has finally enriched her wardrobe with some specific items from many different places. LUCIE is now again fully engaged in her fitness training and looks GREAT! CLARE had to leave her small guitar students during the summer but she is excited to start a new season at the Music School in Ceske Budejovice once again as the Country Sisters season eases down. SONIA had practically no time to water her house and front-yard flowers and the sun killed all it could. Fortunately, her lovely pet Agata (Pitbul dog) stood the sun up and is fine. PEPA finally bought a house and can use all his experience he gained with the CS :)

To close our season this year, we celebrated birthdates of four of our girls, Linda, Lucy, Alena and Sonia.
(October 2007)

The celebration took several days, also in the Swiss Alps and Sonia´s house. Our fanclubs came to join as well. Some of our dearest friends were invited to see our recording studio and also visited Wendy´s horse ranch Vysoka and rode her horses which entertained us for the rest of the day.
